Diving into Siletz Bay
I’m an angel
I’m an egret
I’m a flounder on a flat wave
Cold holds my breath down
And I choke up kelp tubes and crustaceans
My backstroke shows promise
My armpits targets for seagull deposits
My wristwatch is dead
Honk if you love catching crabs
Dig the bones of driftwood
Fuel firewood or fort
Starchy sand trunks and white whales
What’s a cellphone?
